Well established gene-disease association. Both mono- and bi-allelic variants are associated with disease, though bi-allelic disease tends to be more severe.

Assessed as 'strong actionability' in paediatric patients by ClinGen.

Treatment: all individuals with ARAS are recommended to be treated with ACEi at diagnosis (if older than 12-24 months), even before the onset of proteinuria. Guidelines vary on treatment of AD AS, therefore exclude from gNBS panel.
