Daniel Flanagan (Victorian Clinical Genetics Services)

Green List (high evidence)

PMID: 11869378. Homozygous SRD5A2 nonsense identified in a 46,XY baby with ambiguous genitalia and clitoral hypertrophy. This individual was raised as female. Family studies not possible because this individual was adopted.

PMID: 12843198. Biallelic SRD5A2 variants reported in 3 patients with micropenis.

PMID: 18350250. Biallelic SRD5A2 variants reported in three 46, XY individuals, who had genital ambiguity, bilateral inguinal hernia and micropenis at birth. Two were raised as female and one was raised as male.

PMID: 1944596. Southern blot analysis in two related pseudohermaphrodites from Papua New Guinea, indicated that a SRD5A2 gene deletion was present in both individuals.
